Section 1.4 continues

As of the time of this writing, it is just barely before midnight on Sunday, so technically it still is the weekend! >__>() Anyhow, I got better from whatever disease I had on Saturday and managed to script the rest of Section 1.4, as well as get a decent portion of the chapter thumbnailed. So~ pages 8 and 9 of Section 1.4 are now up, albeit also incomplete like the last two pages, except this time they're not even inked! :D()() Uhh, consider it an opportunity to um. check behind the scenes? XD() And now I have a better idea of how to handle this chapter (I still think a few more revisions could be done to the script...) I should be able to have more regular updates from now on? Although I can't guarantee that this Thursday's pages won't be another batch of incompletes, since usually I have my pencils done and the pages inked by Monday if I want to leave ample amounts of time to polish up the pages in time for Thursday. And seeing as I only have these two pages pencilled... :P

Aannnd no vote incentives this week because I'm lazy. _-_ And you shouldn't vote for a bum like me anyway, at least not until I get my act together. :X Also, between the time I posted the late notice on Thursday and around 10PM PST the same day, I changed the URL and format of the syndicate feed from http://directionsofdestiny.com/atom.xml to http://directionsofdestiny.com/rss.xml, so if you already put atom.xml into your feed readers, you should update that!

...Would anybody be interested in a Directions of Destiny mailing list to notify when updates are put up? :o (I've been pretty good about putting SOMETHING up every Thursday lately though, right??)

Um, you don't have to push to update. If you aren't ready, we can wait.

I agree! Don't rush an update just to have it all done on time, get the script exactly the way you like it first. It'll save time later because you won't need to have another massive revision ;)

Also, instead of posting another incomplete this thursday, I suppose it would be viable to just polish up the last 4 incomplete pages? Then you won't have to worry about finishing them up in the future.

I agree with Ming. Polishing up those incomplete pages before posting new ones is better in my opinion. You won't have to worry about those 4 later on, AND you'll have more time to think of the script and get it just the way you want it. But this is just me. You're the writer/artist; it's your choice. Either way, I'll always be an avid supporter of DoD!!

Oooo, sketchy DoD! I don't mind these "incomplete" updates at all. It's fun to read them when they're sketchy and incomplete.

I totaly agree with the rest o' the comments :P
Don't rush, take your time, make it goood and stay safe x)

just started reading, but I agree with the others that you should finish these pages first before moving on. saves work from backing up later. ^^

I'm a long time reader (ever since the very first version ^_^) but a generally quiet poster. But I can't keep quiet with this. Hans, as the others said, if you're not totally ready to update us with more pages, then you can delay it :) We all love your work very, very much and can wait to see you at your best. Your health is the most important.

The other reason I posted - Yaaaaayyyy~~ you kept Azalea's obsession for clean rooms ^^ I loved that part of the old version. She's so cute ^^ It's interesting seeing the sketched versions too...so this is how you start off with each page :)

I still voted for you at the two sites :) The comic itself is incentive enough. It's awesome and my favourite webcomic ^_^ I'll always support it, no matter what!

Aw, you guys are nice. :3 Ideally I WOULD like to take my sweet time ironing out the script, but I fear that things would never get done because somewhere down the line I'd probably become so intimidated by the script that I'll have no motivation to work on it at all (this happened a bit over the past two weeks actually x_x) and thus the story will never move, let alone reach its conclusion within our lifetimes. So while the wrath of angry readers is certainly enough to kick me into gear (although I'm terribly thankful that you guys have been so kind!! :DD), I also need to push the comic along for my own sake, to get myself some discipline, and to one day finish this story. In any case, I really appreciate the encouragement, but you really shouldn't let me slack off too much. XD

And even though I say to not expect completed pages this week, I still will try my best to finish the past incomplete pages along with new completed pages in time, but, you know, things come up, etc. etc., and I really don't want to toss out a bunch of empty promises since that would not only disappoint myself but it would disappoint you readers as well. :X

hahaha, I always loved this scene, and I've always wanted to see what it looks like before all the awesome inking and stuffs. I've seen halfway? (I sent you the incomplete pages right? haha)It's win-win!

Honestly, we've waited this long, we can handle a little more. So take your time ok? ^ ^

A mailing list would be nice, but then, we wouldn't be surprised anymore when we come to check if there's anything up. ^_^ I hope you feel ALL better soon. And don't rush the pictures. You wouldn't want us to be disappointed now would you?
