September 11, 2008 Section 2.1 continues

Sorry to anybody who expected the previous scene to continue in this update! Heh, heh, heh.

So um, I got interviewed last week! By the Animenewsnetwork! I-I guess you can read it, if you want? The journalist made me sound much more coherent than I actually was. Nonetheless, there is one thing that I want to clarify about the interview. Some parts mention me re-writing and re-drawing certain parts of the story since I published Unit 1 two years ago. This is not what you think!! I had actually not been redrawing anything, but I HAD been re-writing FUTURE chapters of the story from my original draft, especially chapters here in Unit 2.

So that's what I had been doing the last two years regarding the comic: re-imagining the rest of it, in my head. So don't think I spent the whole time redoing the whole thing again!! I didn't!! @w@()()

Congratulations again!

I love the switch in scenes and the whole talking while practicing with his sword thing. I love it when people are talking while sword fighting.

Was this your first interview? I say, you sounded pretty coherent if not rambling but most interviews seem to sound that way. Are there still copies of Unit 1 and Something Colorful available for purchase?

I think it's my third interview? The questions on the bottom were done by e-mail, but what he wrote in the article was gathered from a phone conversation.

Oh Lukas' haggard expression when he says "It's a chance to see their true potential" is so intriguing.

Oh and I wonder what the parent would be thinking hearing slicing in the background...

But I do love how it makes a simple conversation that much more dynamic.

On the subject of purchasing Unit 1 (is this the right place to ask about this sort of stuff?) - I would dearly love to buy it but... I used the shipping calculator and it told me that shipping could either be $23.50 or $59.50.
O.O
Are there really no cheaper shipping options?
I live in Australia so I'm used to paying exorbitant shipping rates when I want things from overseas, but the last time I purchased a webcomic compilation the shipping was $6.40 from Canada.
It took a couple of weeks for the book to arrive, but I don't mind waiting if it means saving a good $15.
Are there any other options apart from expensive priority mail?

Also, congrats on the interview. It was very elucidating :)

Hey Aquilo! I'm glad you pointed that out--it actually turns out there was a sortof bug in the shopping cart program that made it not display First Class rates for international shipping! >_o But I managed to find a solution now so you can get a book shipped for a much more reasonable $9.45! :D

(Note: the shipping cost is calculated through USPS, so that's the price that they'd charge me when I bring it into the post office.)
