This update marks the first time in over four years where the comic has finally progressed beyond the furthest chronological point reached in previous versions! For people who have been following this comic for a while, you may have remembered the previous scene with Luka appearing in the old version of Directions of Destiny right before the story was completely overhauled. Although the current version of the story has covered much more plot elements up to this point, as well as changing several plot elements altogether so that the Luka scene has a completely different meaning in the current version, the time line of the Alatus Institute had never gone past this point...until now!!
...This is probably only exciting to me. ;D()()

Really? I'm pretty sure I saw plenty of people using cellphones on the streets when I was there...? hmm. Though I'm sure it is looked down upon... Using phones on the subway though is a definite no-no! XD

Anyway, the update. If it is indeed Douglas who's on the phone, Azalea sure sounds friendly with him now, compared to that night on the balcony. But I felt something was wrong with her the moment she asked that infamous question in Unit 01 so.. Gah. Can't wait for next week. Your story keeps getting better and better. :D

Firewolf: Yeah, I think it was looked down upon, but one of those things that people do anyway. But definitely most people kept to text-messaging. I know that eating while walking IS definitely not something you should do though (but I did anyway ;o)
Khera: RUPERT'S A MONSTER!! He's 14 pounds now :D It's a little sad because he's running out of surface areas to sleep on. It used to be he could sleep well on this little stool. Now his feet stick out from even the coffee table :[ He's still just as playful as when he was a younger kitten though, except lately it's been pretty hot so he's just been a blob during the daytime :D()
Wow so many pages. That is a monster of a campus to walk through. No wonder everyone's so skinny. I never noticed before that the story never got part this point but I'm not very observative. Can't wait to get my books in the mail!
LOL at the "no wonder they're skinny" comment - Hans, you DO realize that all the women in this comic are scientifically classified as underweight/anorexic? [Heh heh... I checked.] Libelle is the only one that falls on the low end of "healthy weight", using the figures from their profiles. Just saying. :P All well. It's an alternate universe of magic - it's not like science applies. 8D

I'm going to refute Roze's comments because I just stuck all their weights in a bmi calculator--not that bmi is an entirely valid system--and they're all actually in the "healthy weight" range! XD I just.. remember reading their weights a long time ago and recalled that they were all relatively "healthy" in weight, so I had to check again.

Ha ha, thanks for reading my comic Roze :D But like Anonymous said, I did make sure that my characters all actually weigh in a healthy range, but not just based off their BMIs. My little brother's 5'10" and he's 120lb., which is less than Zephan (who is the same height) by 24 pounds, and my little brother's pretty healthy; he plays tennis regularly and he eats like a fiend, and I assure you he ain't throwing any of that up. I've got a friend who's 6' and about 155lb, and he has massive arms and chiseled build, and Luka still weighs more than him by nearly 20lb. The girl and boy whom Ryan and Xin were respectively based off of are both the same height but weigh 10 pounds less in person, and I don't think they're anorexic by any means either, but I can relay that message to them for you if you want. Personally, I'm 5'5" and weigh 135lb, which is 20lb. more than Azalea who's also 5'5", but I'm also a guy and my legs are way chunkier, and admittedly I've got some hefty love handles too that could stand to go.
Anyway, tl;dr, I know many people in real life who lead completely healthy lifestyles and weigh less than my characters.
