H-hey guys! Um, so the conventions the past three weeks have been fantastic, and it was wonderful seeing old fans of the comic in person! It really motivated me to work really hard this month to get a buffer of comic pages going on to ensure punctual updates for the rest of the summer!
...Except there is the minor complication of my laptop being in the repair shop right now. >_o I should've mentioned something sooner but augh no updates for like three whole weeks right after I said I'd resume updates == my eternal SHAME. But in any case, while working on prints at A-Kon, my laptop started to just freeze up completely and the fan would start going off right afterwards. It survived through the con all right because I managed to finish my prints before it really started going haywire, but since I've been back every time I tried to turn it on it'd freeze before I could even get past the log-in page.
So now the laptop's being fixed and I'm not entirely sure when I'll get it back. In the meantime I'll try to pencil and ink more comic pages? But to tide you over for now, I started updating my deviantArt gallery! Granted most of the stuff I'm uploading is already on my website, but eventually I'll get around to uploading some of the new fan art prints that I did for the conventions. :D
I'm hoping that I get my laptop back by next Thursday's update so I could put something up, so check back then!

Sucks to hear about the laptop. You’d think the amount of money that you pay for technology that they would last longer than they ever do.

Awww, that sure is bad luck. I don’t have a lap, but I know how it sucks when the screen starts freezing… In my case, its the graphic card ventilator’s fault. My PC survives Winter when the heater is on only if I have an external Ventilator at the side of it with open casing and the summer the same way with Ventilator Level 2. Grr.
Makes me happy to hear that the Cons were fun :) I love Cons, but I don’t like running around in high-heels at cons. Kind of sucks when your feet start hurting and theres nowhere to sit on besides the ground.
And I’m glad to hear that you managed to put up a buffer <3

(sighes of relief) I thought something extremely terrible happened once again, & you couldn’t continue the comic on your part, glad beyond words I was wrong.
Anyways, since your laptop is in dire need of repairs, I am sure we can all wait for the updates here, or just go on your dev art account if eagerly wanting to see what you have up your sleeve.
Anyways, joyed you let us know about this, it did really ease some tension about not finishing what you had started, but now even more motivated to work hard upon this, what a great benefit this may provide for you & us.

I’m so happy that you’re back and resuming with updates, despite the technical difficulties. DoD is one of my favorite webcomics, and it was a huge inspiration to try to get into comics myself. So I’m really excited to see more pages in the near future. :)

WHOOT I can’t wait for new updates!! Geez, some luck with your laptop huh? Technology seems to laugh at us sometimes by not working when we need it.
I blame the unreliability on the competitiveness of the technology industry. If the manufacturers could wait a little longer to make sure all the bugs are taken care of, there wouldn’t be so many problems.
Why did everyone immediately assume you DIED? lol I didn’t know you had a block of cons, though! It was a cool little surprise you were at the one I happened to go to!
