An online fantasy graphic novel set in the Alatus Institute of Higher Academics, where only the finest students are accepted to train in the arts of magic, summoning, weapons and technology. It is here where the redirection of destiny will take place.
The school semester is coming to a close in the coming weeks :D I thought I'd use this chance to post a few thumbnails of some environments I'd been working on for Directions of Destiny.
Some of these locations you might recognize from the comic, others have yet to be mentioned at all. But it's been very fun working on these concepts, and I'll be sure to put up the full finished paintings when I'm done!!

The graphic novel Directions of Destiny is currently on hiatus and this website will be periodically updated with concept art and development blogs. New comic pages will arrive on further notice.
With the frequency of your updates, is it any wonder that it becomes exciting?:D But these are just beautiful! I love the colors—red and orange for warmth, purple for mystery, and so on. I think these will tide me over till you continue the strip! A good setting is always important in a fantasy~

These are great. I definitely have a better idea of what the campus looks like now. It’s always been such a mystery seeing as we pretty much only ever get to see inside the school itself, not so much the rest of the campus. Can’t wait to find out what those other settings are.

I especially like the first scene, of the campus as a whole; even “unfinished” it looks brilliant :)
The smaller thumbnails are very interesting as well, particularly with the various color schemes. I’m assuming.

Awesome! My favorite is the blue thumbnail, but they all look wonderful. Hope you can find the time to work on this even more… it’s really worth it.
Hey just checking in here at the comments for your latest post. I have to say, this is one of the best online comics I’ve read in a while (and I’ve read quite a few….i’m following over 20 right now). Much to my dismay, your blog updates have been rather unfrequent and you’ve admittedly struggled balancing your schedule. Fret not! There are many of us here who support you. The quality of this comic is nothing less than top-notch, and I will follow it as long as it goes. I eagerly await new updates!
